More specifically HGTV’s show Bargain Block location is in the city of Detroit.
Each of the show’s episode features the designer-builder duo working on a new property in one of Detroit’s neighbourhood.
Detroit is one of the most developed and populated cities in Michigan. It is also the state’s cultural centre.
Over the years it has come to be known for its music scene, the repository arts, and architecture.
However, Detroit’s claim to fame is most definitely due to its automobile industry. The midwestern city is home to some of the biggest auto manufacturers in the country and the world, such as Ford Motor Company, General Motors, and Stellantis North America.

Keith Bynum and Evan Thomas are partners in real life
HGTV’s Bargain Block hosts aren’t just business partners, they are also life partners. The architect duo has worked together for several years now.
Keith and Evan were flipping houses long before they landed the HGTV show. They started their house flipping business back in 2012 and have renovated many homes by now.
Seeing their passion for home renovations in Detroit, many fans wonder if the duo is a native of the city. But Keith was born and raised in Texas. On the other hand, Evan is from South Dakota.
Before moving to Detroit the Bargain Block cast members were living in Denver, Colorado.
One thing that makes the Bargain Block cast members stand out among the HGTV alum list is that on their show, they manage to stay inside the budget limit. Hence their home renovations are very affordable for many.
Also, flipping houses isn’t Evan and Keith’s only venture. They also own a store called ‘Nine Furniture and Design‘, located in a Detroit suburb called Ferndale.
